"88 years of age, May 4, 1917 and a practical sheep shearer for 70 years. He has a 12 year record of 17,277 sheep, 1742 in one year, also a record of 82 in one day. He sheared at the Vermont Merino Sheep Breeders Association of his county and has won first prizes twice when working with expert shearers. He also recieved the honor of doing the best and quickest work where the sheep clippers were used. The present year, 1917, he has sheared 235 sheep." Unused.
